Saturday morning went a bit wonky. We had to stay a bit longer in El Burgos Ranero than expected. So along with other pilgrims we decided just to take the train all the way into Leon.
We emerged with the rough plan of searching out the parochial alburgue Santa Maria de Carbajal.
Leon is a lovely mixture of old and new with a common pallet of colors. For a mid-size town it is really lovely.
We got to the albergue early, but nonetheless checked in. After we went for lunch (or maybe second breakfast) at La Flecha. We did a bit of shopping to improve my cool weather preparedness. On the way back we stopped at a little kabob shop for dinner.
As usual, the city was just coming to life as I was ready to retire for the night.

Today we are out and wandering the streets. We did go to morning prayer with the Benedictine sisters here. Mass will be later. In the meantime here's a couple of smiles.
