We left the meeting point alburgue in the morning intending to return. However, with no mass in town and empty streets we decided to go forward about 10 km.
There was a good rise in the road and then down into Hontanas.
We still had time for rest, conversation, and writing.
Today we decided on a 20ish kilometer day.
Once again we crossed a mesita. To get there there was about a kilometer of 12% grade. The downhill side was about half that at 18% grade.
That appears to be a ruined Castle overlooking the old church and town.
We walked on until we arrived in the town we had chosen. I may have a update later.
So neat to see your faces!
ReplyDeleteStunning red flower against the backdrop of the road.
Steep roads! Over time, at least. ;)
