Camino 21 - Calzadilla de la Cueza to Sahagún

Just about ready...mmm..hmm?

The day started colder and windier than yesterday the less wet.

By midday we had run into Frauke from Austria.  We had lunch with her at a little bar along the way. The bars here are more like informal restaurants they serve food, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, and also alcoholic beverages. Often times they are part of an alburgue.

The entry to Sahagún along the Camino was a memorial to the founders of the city.

We have found place at the municipal alburgue which is in a repurposed old church building.

We did a bit of shopping before showers, laundry, and dinner. This is a pleasant little town maybe 20 minutes to walk across.

  1. I see in the guidebook that the Camino de Madrid meets you here. Have you met anyone coming from Madrid yet?
